Barrow expresses delight on the ongoing work at Lot 2 road project in CRR
President Adama Barrow has expressed delight at the current ongoing construction works of the EPC Lot 2 road project in the Central River Region (CRR).
The Gambian leader, on Wednesday, 20th November 2024, visited the ongoing Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) Lot 2 Road Project in the Central River Region (CRR).
The 50km Lot 2 project is contracted to Cornerstone Construction, a Gambian Contractor, and the consultant is CityScape Associates, also Gambian-owned.
The project is divided into three: Njau to Carrol Wharf, 12km; Karantaba to Fitu Fula, 26km; and Laminkoto to Kunting, 12km. This amounts to 50km in total.
“I haven’t heard any complaint since the start of the project. I am very happy with the level of ongoing work on the project,” President Barrow told the contractor, Cornerstone Construction.
According to him, this is a social project and is very important to him and his government.
President Barrow went on to encourage the contractor to continue with the good work on the project, noting that he is without a doubt that this road will be delivered with quality.
