As part of its routine maintenance activity in preparation for the rainy season, the National Roads Authority (NRA) through its Eastern Division Maintenance Team on Monday commenced a six-day pothole patching at the Kamfenda – Kanilai Road in Foni, West Coast Region.
The Eastern Division, which is divided into both South and North Banks is overseen by the NRA’s Divisional Engineer, Alhagie Bakary Ceesay (ABC).
The South Bank starts from Kalagi to Koina while the North Bank starts from Kerewan to Passamasu.
The patching of the potholes processes includes pre-mixing, and cleaning of the potholes before patching.
Due to the nature of the holes, it sometimes requires the demarcation of the holes before patching.
The ongoing activity also includes the inspection of culverts and drainage structures within the Eastern Region.
