The National Roads Authority (NRA), together with the Ministry of Transport, Works, and Infrastructure (MOTWI) on Monday, began a nationwide routine inspection of all their ongoing project sites across the country.
The project sites to be visited by the two institutions (NRA & MOTWI) are Nuimi Hakalang Loop and Secondary Roads, and the Banni Salikene-Njaba Kunda Loop Road project. EPC LOT 1 (in the Upper River Region, URR), Lot 2 (in the Central River Region, CRR), Lot 3 and 4 in Lower River Region LRR.
The delegation will later return to the Urban Area and visit the OIC 50km and 22 km Bertil Harding highway and EPC Urban Roads Lots 1, 2, 5 and 6 respectively.
The delegation from the Ministry is headed by Minister Ebrima Sillah, while the National Roads Authority (NRA) delegation is led by the deputy managing director, Sulayman Sumareh Janneh.
The objective of the visit is to gather first-hand information and assess the progress of construction works thus far. The visit will also provide an opportunity for intervention to mitigate any challenges that both contractors and communities may be faced with.
