As part of its mission, efforts and commitment to ensuring the Cleanliness and safety of our national roads, The National Roads Authority (NRA), together with partners, on Saturday, 7th December 2024, again embarked on a massive cleaning exercise on the Bertil Harding Highway.
This is part of the serial cleaning exercises conducted by the NRA since the construction of Phase I of the Bertil Harding Highway.
The cleaning exercise was done in collaboration with partners National Youth Council (NYC), Save Life Gambia
(SLG), Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS), and a Professional cleaning company called Professional
Cleaning Services (PCS), amongst others.
The continuous cleaning exercise by NRA aims to explore more attractions on the newly/under-construction three-lane highway.
While NRA aims to continue doing this exercise, we urged the general public to desist from dumping waste on the roads, especially roundabouts and drainages.
The NRA urges the public to assist in maintaining the cleanliness of our roadway environment, as this is a collective national effort and responsibility of all Gambians.
