Enforcement of vehicle parking restrictions along Bertil Harding Highway

National Roads Authority > Our Projects > Enforcement of vehicle parking restrictions along Bertil Harding Highway
The National Roads Authority (NRA), together with the Gambia Police Force (GPF), will be embarking on enforcing the No-Parking Restrictions on Bertil Harding Highway.
This is aimed to reduce congestion, improve accessibility, and enhance overall safety for all road users.
The National Roads Authority (NRA), together with the law enforcement agencies is hereby informing the public that parking is prohibited along the newly constructed 22km Bertil Harding Highway.
The people who violate these restrictions will be fined and vehicles towed at the owner’s expense. Lay-bys have been provided at designated and marked places along the road for picking up and dropping off passengers. These are not parking spaces, and they must not be used for parking.
As we aim to reduce congestion, improve accessibility, and enhance overall safety for all road users, the National Roads Authority (NRA) and the Gambia Police Force will be embarking on enforcing the no-parking restrictions on Bertil Harding Highway. We urge the public not to park anywhere on the road.
The National Roads Authority is dedicated to providing a safe, efficient, and reliable road network to support economic growth, and development. We seek your support to make our roads safe and congestion free.
