The Contractor, Arezki S.A is hereby informing the public that they will be embarking on a relocation of the existing 350mm diameter PVC water pipe with HDPE pipe across the Coastal Highway just before the Brusubi roundabout coming from Brufut end on Sunday 6th October 2024.
The water pipe relocation is part of the plans to widen the approaches on che existing one-lane Coastal Highway to a dual carriage for both arms of the Brusubi roundabout intersection (towards Brufut and Sukuta), to address the current traffic congestion at the roundabout.
The Sunday relocation of services work will commence from 8am and end around 4pm.
Through traffic, roadway users are advised to use alternative signposted roads during this period until the relocation is completed.
Detour signs will be in place to alert motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists about the temporary road closure.
The National Roads Authority (NRA), Ministry of Transport, Works, and Infrastructure (MoTWI) understand the challenges and inconveniences that commuters, residents, bicyclists, and pedestrians will experience during the closure periods and ask for patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project.
