Road lane closure and restrictions widening of the 22km Bertil Harding Highway

National Roads Authority > Road lane closure and restrictions widening of the 22km Bertil Harding Highway

The Contractor, Arezki S.A is hereby informing the general public that they are embarking on a permanent road marking along the 22km Bertil Harding Highway, starting from the Airport Junction.
The ongoing work, which began on Wednesday 5th June 2024, started at the right-hand side lane from the Airport Junction towards the Sukuta-Jabang Roundabout.
Due to this development, the two lanes (first and second) out of the three lanes on the right-hand side from the Airport Junction towards the Sukuta-Jabang roundabout will be close to traffic.
Through traffic, roadway users are advised to use the third lane next to the median during these periods until the marking work is completed on the two lanes.
Detour signs will be in place to alert motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists about the temporary lane closure.
The National Roads Authority (NRA), Ministry of Transport, Works, and Infrastructure (MoTWI) and OIC Secretariat understand the challenges and inconveniences that commuters, residents, bicyclists, and pedestrians will experience during the closure periods and ask for patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project.
