The ongoing government-funded Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) road projects across the country are registering great progress so far.
The Lot 1 EPC Road Project in the Upper River Region (URR)
The 69km project is contracted to Gai Construction and the Consultant is Cityscape Associates.
General:
The project activities are actively going on in 6 project roads out of the total 15 roads. The current progress of the project is 21.14%. A brief description of the progress made on the active roads is presented below.
1. Basse Manneh Kunda – Demba Kunda – Gambisara Road (12.18km)
The contractor completed the earthworks, subbase and base except for access junctions. All 18 culverts were completed but didn’t start the surface treatment yet.
0.12km of the concrete road pavement completed from a total of 1.3km and the overall progress so far is 45.47%
2. Basse – Dampha Kunda – Tambasasang Road (9.20km)
The contractor completed 68% of the earthworks, 60% of the subbase and 6% of the base, respectively. Both the culverts, surface treatment and concrete road pavement are yet to start. The overall progress so far is 16.98%
3. Chamoi – Dampha Kunda Road (2.66km)
The contractor completed 95% of the earthworks and 90% of the subbase, while the base is currently in progress. The construction of 1 culvert out of 3 is ongoing, but we haven’t yet started the surface treatment. The overall progress so far is 30.38%
4. Manneh Kunda Road (1.68km)
The contractor completed 40% of both the earthworks, subbase and concrete road pavement. The overall progress is 29.40%.
5. Angalfuta Road (1.75km)
The contractor completed 95% of both the earthworks, subbase, and concrete road pavement. The overall progress is 87.68%.
6. Brikamaba – Boiram – Njoben Road (6.3km)
The contractor completed 67% of the earthworks but has not yet started the subbase, base, and surface treatment. The overall progress is 11.26%.
