The National Roads Authority (NRA) led by its Deputy Managing Director has joined the high-powered delegation currently accompanying the Gambian leader his Excellency President Adama Barrow to visit industrial farms across the country.
The President’s historic visits are centred on discussions of challenges and ways to partner with the government to provide access to more opportunities to things that would enhance productivity in the sector.
As a result the visit also aims to elevate the industry’s profile and reinforce its competitiveness and economic contribution to the nation.
This unique opportunity further shows the government’s commitment to advancing critical innovations in the agricultural sector and improving effective value chain management.
The President and his delegation on Thursday continued their visit to the West Coast Region (CRR) at Redville Farm in Toubakuta; MAK Foods in Kafuta; Bakaf Farms in Mayork; Emkay Agro in Bondali before going to inaugurate the new Kiang Jali Hospital in the Lower River Region (LRR) respectively.
Meanwhile, the President will over the weekend continue touring more industrial areas and newly built primary health care facilities in the rural areas in the Central River Region, Upper River Region and North Bank Region respectively and that will mark the conclusion of the tour.
