The Foni Lot 4 Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) road in the West Coast Region has made a significant advancement in its ongoing construction.
The 22.53km road project, funded by the government of the Gambia, is divided into four loops: Kalagi – Kamangka – Bondali is 10.2km; Jorem Nema Kunda – Jorem Bunda Kunda is 1.45km; Sangajorr – Dasilami is 5.78km and Kamfenda – Tintinbaa is 5.1km respectively.
The project is contracted to SOMAGEC, and the Consultant is Gamecs.
The contractor has completed the clearing and grubbing stage for the 10.2km Kalagi – Kamangka – Bondali road and are now in the roadbed preparation activities.
This is the only site with an ongoing activity by the contractor.
Meanwhile, the contractor has already completed the clearing activities for the 1.45km Jorem Nema Kunda – Jorem Bunda Kunda and Sangajor – Darsilameh 5.78km road respectively.
The 5.1 km Kamfenda – Tintinbaa road is yet to begin construction.
