Following the heavy rains over the weekend, the Managing Director of the National Roads Authority (NRA), Mr Ousman Sanyang on Monday embarked on a visit to the flood-prone sites of the ongoing road construction within the Greater Banjul Area.
These visits gave the NRA boss the opportunity to first-hand information and to see for himself some of the floods occurring on some of the under-construction roads for immediate interventions.
MD Sanyang and his entourage started the visit at the ongoing construction of the Bertil Harding Highway, together with the 50km Intersections; P20 outfall in Brusubi; P6 outfall in Bijilo; P9 Irish crossing in Brufut – Wullinkama; Tanka Tanka; Sbec area; Yuna; P15 in Bundung; P3 in Westfield Jokor Road; P1 New Jeshwang – Jokor Road; Nema Kunku amongst others.
According to MD Sanyang, he needs to come out to see for himself the flood-prone sites to come up with some interventions for identified communities.
