The National Roads Authority (NRA), in collaboration with the Gambia Police Force (GPF), on Tuesday, 19th August 2025, launched an exercise to tow abandoned vehicles along the newly constructed Bertil Harding Highway.

This operation follows reports of abandoned vehicles obstructing traffic flow and posing safety risks to road users.

The NRA hereby informs the general public that any vehicle found abandoned along the Bertil Harding Highway—stretching from Airport Junction to Sting Corner—will be towed, and penalties will apply.

Vehicle owners whose vehicles have broken down or become immobile on the highway are also encouraged to contact the NRA for towing assistance. Please note that charges will apply for such services.
