President Adama Barrow on Saturday, was out and about to visit ongoing road development projects.

These visits are part of the Gambian leader’s routine inspection to see for himself the progress made and challenges of the ongoing works.

The ongoing roads visited by the President are: the Bertil Harding Phase 3; OIC 50km Urban Roads in Sukuta and Nemasu; EPC Lot 5 in Abuko, Wellingara and Old Yundum; EPC Lot 6 Youna to Jambur, Jalangbang, and Brikama and Old Yundum to Tawto and Jabang; EPC Lot 4 Giboro-Sohm road; Janbanjelly – Gunjur road addendum to Cornerstone; Road Maintenance: Brufut – Madiana road; OIC 50km: P11 – Bijilo Site Access respectively.

President Barrow said the infrastructural projects are part of the government’s roadmap of transforming The Gambia into a middle-income country by 2031.

According to him, these road networks are social projects aimed at creating easy access to communities, schools and markets.
