Brufut – Madiana – Banyaka – Kunkujang Mariama Road Project to Be Inaugurated Tomorrow
President Adama Barrow is expected to inaugurate the Brufut – Madiana – Banyaka – Kunkujang Mariama Road Project tomorrow, Saturday, 9th May 2026.
The inauguration ceremony, scheduled to take place at Madiana Lower Basic School, is expected to attract beneficiaries and residents from Kombo North and Kombo South in the West Coast Region.
The Brufut – Madiana – Banyaka – Kunkujang Mariama Road Project is a strategic 12-kilometre infrastructure development aimed at enhancing transport connectivity across communities in the West Coast Region.
The project, implemented by SSTP Construction Company with the National Roads Authority serving as consultant, connects the communities of Brufut, Madiana, Banyaka, and Kunkujang Mariama.
Constructed as a double-surface-dressed road, with eight metres width designed to improve durability and withstand heavy rains during the rainy season.
Upon completion and inauguration, the road is expected to significantly improve accessibility for residents by facilitating the transportation of goods and easing access to essential social services. The project is also anticipated to boost socio-economic activities within the beneficiary communities.
Additionally, the road will ease movement for commuters and Christian pilgrims travelling to the sacred site in Kunkujang Mariama
