Barrow Expresses Satisfaction with Progress on Bertil Harding Phase 3 Project
President Adama Barrow has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction works under the Bertil Harding Phase 3 project. The President made the remarks on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025, during site visits to the Stadium and Sports Centre road projects, as well as the Bakary Camara Street drainage works in Bakau.
The inspection formed part of his nationwide Meet with the People Tour.
The Stadium Road project spans 364 metres, while the Sports Centre Road covers 580 metres. Bakary Camara Street is undergoing dedicated drainage improvements. According to engineers on site, earthworks for both the Stadium and Sports Centre roads have been completed, bringing overall progress on these two components to 67%. Stadium Road will also accommodate approximately 260 parking spaces upon completion.
Drainage works on Bakary Ceesay Street are also advancing steadily.
Under the broader Phase 3 initiative, piling operations have commenced for the Sukuta–Jabang Overpass, which is expected to be fully completed by August 2026. Meanwhile, construction of the Senegambia service roads is on schedule to finish by December 2025.
Overall, the Bertil Harding Phase 3 project stands at 38% completion.
“We are really pleased with the pace and quality of the ongoing works. We are building a modern, first-class road network complete with vehicle parking facilities,” President Barrow told journalists during the visit.
