Barrow visits the Banni-Sallikene-Njaba Kunda road project
As part of his ongoing Meet with the People’s Tour, President Adama Barrow visited the Banni-Sallikene-Njaba Kunda road project in the North Bank Region (NBR) on Tuesday, 11th November 2025.
This road is approximately 17km long and is contracted to Bajam Construction Company.
The contractor is currently doing both priming and sealing works in parallel.
14km of priming was completed, while 13km of first sealing were completed out of 17km.
The outstanding works are 6 irising crossings, 4km of first sealing amongst others
The overall progress is at 90%.
President Adama Barrow, while speaking at a meeting at Salikene, reaffirmed his government’s commitment to creating and expanding communities by building more quality roads.
According to him, this project is very important for his government, as it creates accessibility and links many communities in Salikene, Banni and Njaba Kunda respectively.
Baboucarr Macalo, Salikene Youth representatives, said the importance of this road cannot be overemphasised, noting that it was so difficult for them to gain access from Banni to Salikene.
According to him, President Barrow has brought a shining light to the people of Banni-Sallikene-Njaba.
