The latest progress update on the ongoing Lot 1 Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) road project in the Upper River Region (URR).

The contractor, Gai Construction, is currently working on three projects out of the total 15 roads. The current progress of the project is 45.6%.

A brief description of the progress made in the active roads is presented below.

1. Demba Kunda Road, 12km – 70%*

• Site clearing and roadbed preparation -100%

• Sub-grade layer-100%

• Subbase layer- 100%

• Base course -100% completed, except for access junctions.

• Drainage Structures – 98%

• Reinforced Concrete pavement – 86.4%.

• Erosion protection works – 63%

2. Basse Damphakunda- Tambasansang Road, 9.2km – 45%*

• Site clearing and roadbed preparation -100%

• Sub-grade layer-92%

• Subbase layer – 88%

• Base course – 50%

• Drainage Structures – 38%

• Reinforced Concrete pavement – 25.2%.

3. Chamoi Road, 2.8km – 46%*

• Site clearing and roadbed preparation -100%

• Sub-grade layer -100%

• Subbase layer – 100%

• Base course – 70%

• Drainage Structures – 99%

4. Sutukoba – Chamoi Bunda Road (27km) – 20%*

• Site clearing and roadbed preparation – 42%.

• Sub-grade layer – 30%

5. Brikamaba-Boiram-Njoben Road (6km) – 26%*

• Site clearing and roadbed preparation -100%

• Sub-grade layer – 38%

7. Basse Mannehkunda Road, (1.67km) – 47%*

8. Angalfuta Road, (1.76km) – 94%*
