The Managing Director of the National Roads Authority (NRA), Sulayman Sumareh Janneh, on Friday presented 20 tricycles to the Authority’s regional offices in Bakau, Kanifing Municipality, and Mansakonko in the Lower River Region (LRR).

The presentation forms part of the NRA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of its regional offices and improve the maintenance of the country’s road network.

Under the distribution arrangement, each regional office will receive 10 tricycles to support its day-to-day operations and improve service delivery within their respective jurisdictions.

The tricycles are expected to enhance road and drainage cleaning operations, facilitate routine maintenance activities, and support other field operations undertaken by the regional offices.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Sumareh Janneh stated that the initiative is aimed at equipping the regional offices with the necessary tools to improve service delivery and ensure cleaner and safer road environments across their respective jurisdictions.

He noted that the provision of the tricycles reflects the Authority’s commitment to improving operational efficiency and supporting staff in the execution of their duties.

The Managing Director further encouraged the regional teams to make effective use of the equipment and maintain them properly to ensure their long-term sustainability and continued contribution to the Authority’s mandate.
