NRA, MOTWI commences routine nationwide road inspection tour in NBR
The National Roads Authority (NRA) through its Deputy Managing Director Sulayman Sumareh Janneh under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Transport Works and Infrastructure Honorable Ebrima Sillah on Friday, 13th June 2025, commenced their routine nationwide road inspection tour on the ongoing construction of roads in Niumi Hakalang Loop and Secondary Roads and Banni-Salikeni-Njaba Kunda Road Projects in the North Bank Region (NBR).
Niumi Hakalang Loop Roads Project
The 84.5km road project, which is divided into three sections, starts from Bunaidu to Kuntaur through Chilla Jurunko. It also includes connecting roads from Albreda to Fass Omar Saho and Bangally to Bafuloto in the North Bank Region (NBR).
The project is contracted to CSE, while Pace & GAMECS are the consultants.
The contractor has completed the asphalt in section 1, Bunaidu to Kuntaya, and the double surface dressing in section 3, Bangally to Bafuloto.
They are working on the base course, Priming and surface dressing in section 2, from Albreda to Fass Omar Saho.
The overall progress of work is at 92%.
Banni-Sallikene-Njaba Kunda Road Project
This road is approximately 17km, and it is contracted to Bajam Construction Company.
The contractor is prime sealing, laying kerbs, and drainage works are also ongoing.
They already sealed 5km and primed 10km.
The overall progress is at 82%.
