NRA Technical Team Inspects Near-Completed Lot 8&9 EPC Road Project in Gunjur and Sanyang
As part of its nationwide tour to monitor the progress of road infrastructure works, the National Roads Authority (NRA) technical team, on Friday 3rd July 2026, inspected the ongoing Lot 8 and 9 EPC road projects in Gunjur and Sanyang in the West Coast Region.
The 4.5-kilometre projects, implemented by Green Vision International in Gunjur and Zen Construction Ltd in Sanyang under NRA supervision, include the construction of concrete pavement roads, drainage systems on both sides, and streetlighting.
In Gunjur, the road stretches from the Brusubi–Kartong Highway to the seaside, with a branch leading to the Gunjur Sheikh Ahmad Futi Grand Mosque, while the Sanyang section also runs from the Brusubi–Kartong Highway to the seaside.
During the inspection, the team observed that all major civil works, including the pavement, drainage infrastructure, and streetlighting, have been completed in both communities. The contractors are now carrying out finishing works.
With overall physical progress at 99 percent, the projects are nearing completion and are expected to improve road safety, accessibility to the Tourism Development Area, and connectivity for residents, businesses, worshippers, and visitors.
