NRA Technical Team Inspects Progress of GIRAV Feeder Roads in LRR and NBR
The National Roads Authority (NRA) on Friday, 31st July 2026, continued its nationwide inspection of the ongoing World Bank-funded Gambia Inclusive and Resilient Agricultural Value Chain Development (GIRAV) feeder roads project, visiting construction sites in the Lower River and North Bank Regions.
The technical team inspected Lot 3 at the 4.5km Sare Jamma–Minna Road in Jarra West, where the contractor, SSTP, has completed the sealing works under the supervision of PACE–CEETEQ Engineering JV.
The team also visited Lot 2, where Chino Gam is constructing the 24.5km Minteh Kunda–Kerr Ardo–Njawara Road and the 7km Kuntaya–Jassa Kerr Amadou–Kerr Omar Saine Road. Earthworks are progressing steadily, with 6km of subgrade completed on the Minteh Kunda–Kerr Ardo–Njawara Road and over 500 metres of subgrade completed on the Kuntaya–Jassa Kerr Amadou–Kerr Omar Saine Road.
As part of the tour, the team also inspected the ongoing renovation of the regional materials laboratory in Mansakonko, which will enhance quality control for road construction projects in the region.
The inspection is part of the NRA’s commitment to ensuring that all GIRAV road projects are delivered on schedule and in accordance with the required quality standards.
