The ongoing construction of the 50kms Urban Roads Project, which is contracted to SSTP-CSE-AL FAHD JV, has made significant progress.
The updates are as follows:
P1, which starts from GPPC – New Jeshwang (Gacem Junction) to Jokor Junction, is 2.56km.
Work progress is currently 87%, and the contractor is currently working on the pavement layer on the extension to the swamp.
P2 – Kanifing Hospital – Bertil Harding (Methodist) – Estate Road is 1.01km.
Work progress 99%: (remains the erection of traffic signs).
P3 – GPPC Rd – Westfield Jokor – Abuko concrete road is 2.8km.
Work progress 18%: (delayed by the relocation of the high voltage poles and water services).
– Placing of Kerbs ongoing from CH2+120 to CH2+160 on both sides.
– Concrete pavement from CH2+070 to CH2+270 RHS and 2+340 to CH2+360 RHS.
