The Contractor, Arezki, has officially begun construction work on the Sukuta/Jabang overpass. The road intersection was closed to traffic on Thursday, 13th November 2025, following the arrival of the piling machine;

• The existing roundabout and the traffic islands at the intersection are demolished;

• The street light poles within the proposed bridge area and the ramps/approaches are being taken out of the way;

• Preparation of reinforcement cages for pile foundations is in progress;

Meanwhile, piling is expected to start during the course of this week, and the works are expected to be completed between eight and nine months.
