NRA Ag. MD hails staff for continuing to develop & maintain Gambia’s road infrastructure
The National Roads Authority ( NRA) management has set aside and marked September 19th, 2025 as a Staff Day. This occasion was conceived by the management with a view to reassuring employees of management’s continued commitment to boosting staff morale, encouraging interaction, networking, communication, and camaraderie amongst staff.
The day was also jam-packed with various sporting activities such as beach volleyball, six-a-side football, musical chairs, and Laser Shooting, in which both management and staff rubbed shoulders with each other in a friendly atmosphere.
Acting MD, Sumareh Janneh, was speaking before his staff during their NRA Staff Day 2025 held at Kunta Kinteh Hotel on Friday, 19th September 2025.
“I want to thank every staff member of the NRA for your tireless efforts in developing, building, and maintaining the road network of the country,” he told his staff at the gathering.
According to him, every staff member in NRA is very important towards the development of the country, from the cleaners, watchmen, going up to the management and the board members.
He went on to urge his staff to continue with their hard work in providing quality road infrastructure for the people of the Gambia.
Mustapha Samateh, Representative from the NRA Board, thanked the NRA for the initiative, while also applauding the general staff membership for their hard work and dedication.
“You’re the reason why they say NRA, your hard work and dedication on the field, and not us as your board,” he told the NRA staff.
According to him, they will continue to support them in whichever way they can, to continue building and maintaining the roads of this country.
Bakary Manneh, Road Safety Engineer, who spoke on behalf of the staff, urged the management of the Authority, under the dynamism of the Acting MD, to continue shaping the Authority in the right direction.
He called on the management for more and continued support to the staff, while promising that the staff would continue to support the management.
